
Local 820 Supports Red Cross

Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association Local 820 donated $750 to provide emergency financial assistance to victims of disaster. The International Red Cross provides financial assistance to disaster victims in Hamilton County. Disaster victims may receives assistance with rent, food, clothing,medical supplies, and other basic necessities. Since July 1, 2000, the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Chapter has assisted 134 children and 207 adults. "We are deeply grateful to the firefighters who put their lives on the line to protect our community," said Bill Douglas, Director of Emergency Services for the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Chapter. "We were honored to accept the generous contribution from the Local 820 to help families who have been devastated by disaster."
